Visit to Members and learning about the investment environment, auditing, accounting, tax,… in Vietnam by Allinial Global Leaders (08 October 2024 – 13 October 2024) – APAC Roadshow 2024.

08 Oct 2024: First day in Binh Duong

With the approval of the People’s Committee of Binh Duong province, on the morning of 08 October 2024, at the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Duong province, AG’s members and TTV had a meeting with the Leaders of Binh Duong Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support Center to discuss content related to the socio-economic situation and investment attraction in Binh Duong province.

On the afternoon of 08 October 2024, at the Head Office, the Board of Directors of TTV and AG met to discuss the development strategy of TTV in the coming time. AG representatives also contributed initiatives and experiences for TTV to learn, improve and enhance service quality according to international standards.

In addition to exchanging content at the leadership level, AG members also shared with all employee information about AG, social skills, team work experience, and how to coordinate work among members in different countries, sharing careers and expertise from other countries and internationally, etc. These contents have proven to be extremely useful for TTV staffs.

Ms. Abby Chee had positive evaluations about the process of participating in AG activities of TTV, and at the same time, shared useful information for TTV to take deeper steps in integrating and developing the Company in a new direction.

Other members of the group also enthusiastically answered questions from TTV staff about the AG’s expertise, role and support for members firms.

Thereby, it can be seen that TTV always receives attention from AG members who are ready to support, promptly assist and overcome difficulties in professional work and international cooperation. Ms. Abby Chee also did not forget to mention the AG Global Forum held in Singapore on 20 October 2024, promising to open up many opportunities for member countries in the future.

09 Oct 2024: Second day in Ho Chi Minh City

On the morning of 09 October 2024, the group had a working session with the Investment Trade and Promotion Centre in Ho Chi Minh City (ITPC) affiliated and managed by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

ITPC has shared information on trade promotion and investment promotion. Specifically, in terms of trade promotion, ITPC regularly organizes exhibitions in Thailand, Japan, and Singapore. In addition, ITPC also organizes exhibitions in Europe and America to create favourable conditions for businesses to learn, connect, and trade with each other. Regarding Investment promotion, ITPC has shared policies and incentives when investing in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and Vietnam in general.

On the afternoon of 09 October 2024, AG visited and worked with TTV Board of Directors at the branch office in Ho Chi Minh. The two sides discussed practical cooperation content in the coming time, specifically Outsourcing accounting and consulting services to countries where TTV has the advantage of lower personnel costs and profession development directions, creating human resources according to international standards in the future.

10 Oct 2024: Third day in Ho Chi Minh City

AG group has met with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham). AmCham Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City is an independent association of US and international businesses.

With more than 500 Companies and more than 1,500 representatives, the Association’s members include manufacturing and sales, transportation and logistics, professional and business services, and travel and tourism companies are united with the common goal of promoting trade and investment between Vietnam and the United States.

AmCham Vietnam is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-political voluntary membership association of US businesses in Vietnam. Additionally, AmCham welcomes international companies with business relationships with the United States and/or U.S. companies whose membership will help achieve the following goals:

  • Promote trade and investment development between the United States and Vietnam.
  • Provide a forum where U.S. businesses in Vietnam can identify and discuss common interests related to commercial activities in Vietnam.
  • Work with organizations in Vietnam on issues of mutual concern.
  • Maintain relationships with U.S. chambers of commerce and other chambers of commerce or trade organizations.

On the afternoon of 10 October 2024, the delegation met and worked with ACCA. At the meeting, AG members had the opportunity to learn more about ACCA’s development in Southeast Asia, and the group also shared with ACCA about its development. In addition, the Delegation also sought ACCA’s support in introducing its practicing members in Southeast Asia to become members of Allinial Global.

11 Oct 2024: Fourth day in Hanoi

At the end of the Vietnam Roadshow 2024 program, members of the group paid a visit to the capital Hanoi (from 11 October 2024 – 13 October 2024). Here, the members had an exchange and meeting with VACPA leaders to discuss the situation of the Vietnamese audit market, the situation of auditing firms in Vietnam and future development directions to meet the needs of international integration of VACPA in particular and auditing firms in Vietnam in general. Thereby, Allinial Global’s leaders are also ready to help and support VACPA in training international standards and applying information technology in auditing for VACPA members.

 12 Oct 2024: Fifth day in Hanoi

The group attended a seminar on Vietnamese taxes held on 12 October 2024 at the Office of Tri Thuc Viet Company Branch in Hanoi. At the seminar, Ms. Hanh – Former Deputy Director of the Reform and Modernization Department – Vietnam General Department of Taxation presented the types of taxes in Vietnam, tax incentive policies and global minimum tax taking effect from 01 January 2024. This is an opportunity for the delegation to understand more about the tax mechanism and tax incentive policies in Vietnam, thereby evaluating Vietnam as a paradise for foreign investors, promoting the introduction of foreign companies investing in Vietnam.

At the end of the visit to Vietnam, AG members had good impressions of the enthusiasm and hospitality not only from TTV but also from leaders of agencies and organizations. Vietnam is a promising and potential market for foreign investors, which in turn is an opportunity for TTV in particular and Vietnamese auditing, accounting and tax consulting firms in general to develop their business domestically and internationally, and is also an opportunity for future auditors to develop their careers, improve their capacity and compete with other countries in the region.
